"THE BULL THAT CRIED -  True Story that changed lives..."
.
Knowing it was about to be slaughtered, a bull in Hong Kong did what many people fail to realize or are skeptic about when it comes to animals - he showed emotion.

As reported by "Weekly World News", a group of workers walked a bull to a packaging factory. They were about to slaughter him to make steaks and beef stews. When they were close to the front door of the slaughter house, the sorrowful bull suddenly stopped going forward and knelt down on his two front legs. The bull... was all in tears.

How did he know he was going to get killed before he entered the slaughter house? He is even smarter than people.

Mr. Shiu, a butcher recalled, "When I saw this kind of so-called "stupid" animal sobbing and with his eyes in fear and sorrow, I started trembling." "I called the rest over to see. They were just as surprised. We kept pushing the bull forward, but he just didn't want to move and sat there crying."

Billy Fong, owner of the packaging factory said, "People thought animals didn't cry like human beings. However that bull really sobbed like a baby." At that time, more than ten strong men witnessed the scene and they were all touched. Those who were responsible for slaughtering even felt more touched and teared as well.

Other workers working at the same slaughter house also came to see the crying bull. It was all packed with people. They were all shock by this scene. Three of them said they would never forget this crying bull when they slaughter other animals.

With both man and animal crying, everyone knew that nobody could kill the bull. The problem was, what should they do with him? In the end, they raised funds to buy this crying bull and sent him to a temple, where the kind monks would take care of him for life.

After the workers had made a decision, a miracle happened. A worker said, "When we promised this bull that we will not kill him, he started moving and followed us."

How did he understand people's words?

Mr. Shiu said "Believe it or not? This is real although it sounds unbelievable." No doubt, this bull changed these butchers' lives.

Hopefully this story has in turn changed yours.

The video above, shows chimps rescued from animal research laboratories. They have spent their lives in tiny cages in artificial light. This video shows clearly that these primates are exhibiting emotions, first initial nervousness and curiousity, then joy and shared joy at being able to walk out into the sunlight for the first time. Most chimps used for research are bred specifically (indoors obviously) to be sold as "research products"; but some chimps have been taken from the wild, their mothers killed so the baby can be taken for vivisection. Most research primates die as a result of the experimentation inflicted upon them, but those who don't die from their first experiment are often "re-used" over and over for different research projects, until they either die during the research process, are killed for autopsy, or eventually die in their small cages, depressed, in pain and alone. Animal experimentation needs to stop, replaced by existing effective, humane methods. Check out our animal testing section here.

Dog who can't see taken for walks by guide cat, Pwditat and Terfel have become firm friends after the cat began acting as a guide for the blind dog. Terfel was diagnosed with cataracts and confined to his basket to stop him bumping into things. But after owner Judy Godfrey-Brown let a stray cat into her home the dog has been given a new lease of life. Rather than fighting like cats and dogs, the cat softly approached Terfel and seemed to know that he could not see. The cat led the blind dog out of his basket and out into the garden. 'Pwditat immediately seemed to know that Terfel is blind through some sort of sixth sense that animals have. 'She uses her paws to help guide him around the house and in the garden. 'They are glued to each other and even sleep together now.' <3 Source - Daily Mail 28/12/12

CCTV for ALL Slaughterhouses3 hours ago
'I arrived at the house on a late October afternoon. The fall leaves were in full blazing glory, and I noticed that the cows were even closer to the house than I had expected. I could actually hear them before I got out of my car. When I turned off the engine, I knew immediately that something was terribly wrong. I witnessed a scene of chaos. Cows bellowed and stomped, staggering around the fields. They banged into each other and pushed against the fence, located approximately 20 feet from my car. Dozens of them stood wild-eyed, snuffing the air, shrieking horribly. Unfortunately, I knew all too well what their confusion and turmoil was about." "They've taken your babies," I said sadly, looking directly into one cow's mournful eyes. They rolled back in her head as she bellowed anew. Feeling sick to the pit of my stomach, I entered the house and spoke to the curator, who also lives there. Her name is Mary. "Those cows are frantic," I said. The wailing penetrated even inside. I had never heard anything like it. "How long will this go on?" I asked. "Until tomorrow," she replied. "Then more slaughter trucks will come for them, and it will all be over." I thought my heart would hit the floor. I recalled the intense moment when I had stared at the woeful mother cow, practically eyeball to eyeball." Nothing really moves me to action like bearing witness, as I did those days in West Virginia. Nothing is more traumatic for me either. Valerie Macys (jb)

WSPA - World Society for the Protection of Animals1 hour ago
Rose, an elderly female donkey, had been abandoned by her owner and was tragically attacked by a pack of dogs. Her ear and mouth were badly wounded and she was also malnourished. Local group Pegasus found her and with funding from WSPA supporters they nursed her back to health. Pictured recently with Zvika, the founder of Pegasus, Rose has recovered from her attack but remains terrified of dogs. This means it will be hard to find a home for her so she will remain in the care of Pegasus, where she is safe and appears to be very content.
